Hawzah News Agency- in the gathering of professors, staff and students of the seminary research center and university in order to support the uprising of American and European students in protest against the Zionist usurper regime and to support the oppressed people of Palestine, a statement was issued, the text of which is as follows:
In the name of God
The heavy and continuous attacks of the Zionist regime during the past few months against the people of Gaza which led to the brutal killing of nearly 35 thousand children, women, the elderly, the sick and defenseless people on the one hand and the inability of international organizations to stop these heinous crimes on the other hand, has caused the consciences of the academic community in America and Europe to wake up and hear the cry of the oppressed but the hero nation of Palestine.
Now, with the formation and expansion of student protests and gatherings in American and European universities accompanied by the professors and officials of these scientific centers, the Zionist regime and its supporters have sunk into a quagmire, from which it is not possible to get out, and despite widespread opposition by the Police and security agencies, these protests are flaming day by day.
We, the officials, faculty members, researchers, students and employees of the research center of seminary and the university, announce in this regard:
1. Indubitably, this student and university movement, which is exactly aligned with the ideals of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in connection with the liberation of Jerusalem, has the capacity to become global and can be considered a big step towards the destruction of this fake regime.
2. While supporting the general uprising in the scientific community and elites of America and European countries, we emphasize the stand of students and professors and resistance against the oppressive policies of governments entrusted to global Zionism.
3. We express our deep concern and condemn the suppression of the peaceful demonstrations of students and professors who have rightly risen against the war in Gaza.
4. We ask all freedom seekers in the world to support the oppressed Palestinian nation and the cause of Palestinian freedom as an irreversible goal, and use all their material and spiritual resources in this direction.
5. The United States of America and some European countries are reminded of the provisions of Articles 19 and 20 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights regarding the necessity of freedom of opinion and expression, as well as the freedom of peaceful assembly, and strongly urges them to adhere to it and avoid double standards regarding the fundamental right to freedom of expression.
6. We demand all international political and judicial organizations and institutions that have a direct responsibility in maintaining international peace and preventing aggression, to take the necessary measures against the regime that has violated all human values and international rules in order to show that there is still a glimmer of hope for these international organizations.
7. We ask all Islamic countries to cut their political and economic ties with this evil regime and its supporters, to help the oppressed Palestinian people take the last steps to destroy this cancerous tumor, and stand by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
